30 Jul Join Us and Become a Wishmaker for 3 Year old Ty!
Once again, our very own dentist Dr. John Tran is rowing in the Calgary Dragon Boat Race and Festival for the Children’s Wish Foundation. For several years, Dr. Tran has joined this team amongst fellow volunteers in efforts to raise funds to grant children’s wishes.
The Children’s Wish Foundation is a uniquely Canadian charity that helps Canadian children, families and communities by granting the favourite wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
This year, the ‘MEG Energy Wishmakers’ team is rowing for a spunky 3 year old, named Ty. Ty was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and his wish was only to be able to visit his grandparents in Japan.
We are happy to hear that recently Ty had his first clear post-treatment check up meaning that he will be healthy enough to travel this fall!
Signal Hill Dental Centre is kickstarting the fundraising with a donation of $1,000.00. We welcome friends, family, and our patients to join us with raising funds and sending Ty to see his grandparents in Japan!
